Researchers don't yet understand why visceral fat is particularly dangerous, but the fat is metabolically active and doctors think it may release toxins associated with atherosclerosis or plaque build-up in the brain that is apparent in people with Alzheimer's disease...The nice thing about visceral (belly) fat is that it responds well to treatment; i.e., exercise.
So, unless you are already way too smart for your own good- get moving!
Run, bike, swim, move! Sitting is bad for your brain.
